1. Purpose

The purpose of these Terms of Use is to stipulate the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other usage conditions of subscribers related to the certificate issuance service provided by Saesol Tech Co., Ltd

2. Terms

The terms used in these Terms of Use are as follows.

  • Public Key: Electronic information used to verify a signature, which is the information contained within the certificate.
  • Private Key: Electronic information held by the subscriber used to generate a signature.
  • Subscriber: SAESOL Tech Co., Ltd. , an organization issued a certificate in accordance with CPS

3. Specification and Amendment of Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions become effective for all subscribers upon being posted on the SAESOL Tech Co., Ltd. website (www.saesol.tech).

SAESOL Tech Co. , Ltd. may amend these Terms of Use within the relevant legal scope if deemed necessary, and in the event of such amendment, notice will be given 14 days prior to the effective date.

Subscribers may raise an objection in writing or via email within 14 days of the notification of the amended terms and conditions, and if they do not raise an objection within that period, they shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended terms and conditions.

4. Types of Authentication Services

SAESOL Tech Co. , Ltd. provides certification services such as the new issuance, reissuance, and revocation of certificates from subordinate certification authorities.

5. Validity Period and Validity of Certificate

The validity period of the certificate is specified in the CPS, and it remains in effect for the validity period from the date of issuance.

However, if it falls under grounds for revocation, the certificate loses its validity from the time of revocation.

6. Duties of Subscribers

  • Clause1: Subscribers must securely manage their personal keys to prevent loss, damage, theft, or leakage.
  • Clause2: Subscribers check the validity period, purpose, and issuing authority of the certificate issued by SAESOL Tech Co., Ltd., and use the certificate only within the scope of its intended purpose (usage scope).
  • Clause3: If the subscriber does not use the certificate due to a security incident related to the certificate or a change in the system, the subscriber must immediately notify SAESOL Tech Co., Ltd. of such fact.
  • Clause4: When applying for the certificate, the subscriber must provide accurate and truthful information and promptly notify any changes to the information.
  • Clause5: If the certificate is revoked due to key corruption, the subscriber must immediately cease all use of the private key corresponding to the public key included in the certificate.

7. Protection of Private Key

  • Clause1: All reasonable measures must be taken to control, maintain confidentiality of, and always adequately protect the private key corresponding to the public key to be included in the certificate.
  • Clause2: You must use a hardware cryptographic module with a unit design certified to comply with FIPS 140-2 Level 3 or higher or equivalent standards.

8. Certificate Review

Before installing and using the certificate, review and verify the accuracy of the certificate's data, and immediately notify SAESOL Tech Co., Ltd. if the data listed on the certificate has changed or is inaccurate.

9. Use of Certificate

The certificate can only be used for V2X communication specified in IEEE 1609.2, including DSRC and V2X communication.

10. Reporting and Withdrawal

The subscriber may immediately stop using the certificate and private key and request SAESOL Tech Co., Ltd. to revoke (withdraw) them in the event of the following situations.

  • If the certificate information is inaccurate
  • In the event of misuse or damage to the private key associated with the certificate

12. Obligations of SAESOL Tech

  • Clause1: The subscriber's private key must not be stored except when requested by the subscriber, and even when the subscriber's private key is stored upon the subscriber's request, it must not be used or leaked without the consent of the subscriber.
  • Clause2: Care must be taken to ensure that the details or information of the certificate are maintained accurately and securely within the certificate's validity period.
  • Clause3: Enactment and amendment of certification business guidelines and other information related to the performance of certification business must be announced without delay.
